As of 12 am, 31st of March 2020, a total of 8251 people have tested positive for the Covid-19 disease in Portugal, meaning there was an increase of 808 new cases since yesterday. Currently, 726] people are being treated at the hospital, and of those 230 are in the ICU (intensive care unit).

Since the 1st of January, a total of 59457 people have been tested, of which 46249 have tested negative and 4957 are still awaiting test results. There are still 20275 people who are being monitored by the authorities, on suspicion of being infected.

Until now, we register 187 deaths and 43 patients have recovered from the infection. Of these, we have 95 deaths and 16 recovered cases in the North region, 52 deaths and 10 recovered cases in the Center region, 38 deaths and 17 recovered cases in the Lisbon and Tejo Valley region and 2 deaths in the Algarve region.
